Mahadev Saha is an eminent character in the literary world of Bangladesh. He was born in August, 1944 in Sirajgunj of present day Bangladesh. Since his childhood Saha started exhibiting his passion for penning poets, which was highly impressive at that time. He has devoted his whole life to modernise the thematic aspects of Bengali poetries. Some of his literary masterpieces are 'Tobu Swapno Dekhi', 'Eksho Prem O Biroher Kobita', 'Bachan Probachan', 'Anonder Mrityu Nei', 'Eksho Premer Kobita' and many others. In his literary career Saha has written as many as 130 books. He has been accolade with numerous awards, some of which are 'The Bangla Academy Award' (1983), 'Ekushey Padak' (2001), 'Kolkata Bangobandhu Award' (2005), 'Sanghati Gunijan Honour, London' (2011), 'Bangla Utsab Gunijan Honour, New York' (2014) etc. He writes for a number of Bangladeshi newspapers on a regular basis.
