One of the notable poets after the Tagore era, Sudhindranath Dutta was born on October 30, 1901. His father was a renowned lawyer, Hirendranath Dutta and mother was Indumati Vasu. The most critical aspect of his writings is that they talk about the then social disappointment from a rational perspective. He was not only a poet but was also an essayist and critic whose writings illustrate the doubts and disbelief of the 20th century people. His works include ‘Tanvi’, ‘Orchestra’, ‘Krandasi’, ‘Uttar Falguni’, ‘Pratidhvani’, etc. He died on June 25, 1960 in Kolkata.
