One of the famous novelists of Bangladesh, Humayun Ahmed was born on November 13, 1938. His father, Foyzur Rahman Ahmed was a police officer who got murdered in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation war. Ahmed’s first novel, ‘Nondito Noroke’ brought him into the limelight of literary world. The notable aspect of Ahmed’s writings is that they show the day-to-day lives of ordinary people and their aspirations in life. Some of his renowned creations are ‘Kothao Keu Nei’, ‘Srabon Megher Din’, ‘Aaj Robibar’, etc. He died on July 19, 2012.
